Research
My research interest is mostly related to robotics, including control theory, computer vision, pose localization, and path planning.
Vision
Object detection for autonomous aiming — collected and annotated a field dataset in Roboflow and trained YOLO detectors, testing them across lighting, camera angle, distance, and background. Also worked on recovering geometry from retroreflective tape and AprilTag targets, turning raw detections into the range estimates the aiming routine needed.
Estimation
Odometry and pose estimation — fused wheel odometry with vision measurements through an unscented Kalman filter to track the robot's position on the field. Wheel odometry alone accumulates error; the vision updates are what keep it bounded.
Control
PID and feedforward tuning — tuned controllers for robot mechanisms and autonomous movement: observe the response, isolate the source of error or instability, adjust, retest until it holds.
Written up in full in my research portfolio.
Projects
2026
JioLeh — a cross-platform social app for discovering places, built around an interactive map. Auth, profiles, reviews, photos, location-based chat. Flutter, Supabase, Mapbox. NUS Orbital, Artemis (Extreme) — the programme’s highest tier.
2024–25
CK APP — a campus app for my own school, Taipei Municipal Jianguo (Chien Kuo) High School, with about 3,000 downloads on iOS and Android. Class schedules, tasks, cafeteria menus, nearby food, live YouBike availability. Co-founded and led development.
Experience
2022–25
Software lead, FIRST Robotics Team Cyberpunk. Led the robot software across localisation, autonomous navigation, and vision-based object detection, and coordinated with the mechanical and electrical sub-teams.
2026–
Teaching assistant, CS1010 Programming Methodology, NUS. Weekly tutorials and labs on C, debugging, and Unix tools.
2026–
Faculty coordinator, NUS College Mentorship Programme, School of Computing.
2025–
Public relations officer, Singapore Taiwanese Student Association. Marketing officer 2025–26.
Education
2025–29
National University of Singapore — B.Comp Computer Science, second major in mathematics. GPA 4.72/5.00. NUS College.
